My Outings
While I don't see myself getting out anytime soon due to high murky water, lack of waders, and lack of time, I will be posting here about every trip I take to the water. I will date and time stamp them, and include what I caught (if anything), where I caught, and what fly/flies I used. I may be new to the sport, but I'm pretty good at catching them stocked trout, although who isn't? The rivers give me some challenge, but I'm hoping that is something I can improve on this season.

On Saturday, May 4th, I went fishing with a few friends I've known since grade school. The sun was out in force, the temperature a hot 78 degrees, but that didn't stop any of us from catching more than just a sunburn. We tallied quite a few, but none more memorable than the 6 and 8lb bass that was caught by my friend Geoff, and myself respectively. I also hooked into a big carp, roughly 10lbs, a little over 30 inches. Though I did not land the carp, I had fun fighting him, and have nothing but respect for this beautiful specimen. I'm going back out tomorrow at 3am. We shall see what the day brings us. Take a look at the Pictures section to see what our day looked like.
