Stumbled upon this little relic while hiking in the woods one day. I found this building to be quite interesting.
Here is my buddy Matt, hooking into a 17inch Brown in December
The beauty he hauled in.
A book I recommend for beginners and experienced anglers a like. The guy who is teaching me to fly fish has found this book quite useful himself, and he's been tying and fly fishing for over 20 years.
A nice stream side shot of a little stream I fish often
Same Steam, different angle
A different view of the stream
My first attempt at tying a Prince Nymph
Thread: Brown
Body: Peacock Herl and Fine Gold Wire
Thorax: Peacock Herl
Wings: White Goose Biots
Tail: Brown Goose Biots
Here is another Prince Nymph I tied today using Black thread. It's not perfect, but I'm getting better handling the material.
He may not be fly fishing, but this kid is a die hard fishermen. He's one of my good friend's nephew, an he asked all the right questions while on the water.
This is the status of one of my favorite holes at the moment. It can still be fished, but the ice makes it a challenge not to lose lots of flies. This picture was taken by a friend on a January 29th trip. He saw a few nice trout, but lost a few flies, and ended up not catching anything that day.
This is me, fishing in the spring of 2012 at Aylesworth Creek Lake. I caught a total of 4 trout that day, all on the Elk Hair Caddis.
Got a picture of these ducks yesterday while standing on the bridge near the Heritage Trail in Archbald. The water is high, murky, and running very quickly. I love nature, so these ducks were a perfect pick me up for the day.
